New School Stories

Just sittin' here listening to the Mighty Boosh... Bring back radio shows I say. Give poor old Foley Jim another shot before he dies.
People should be utilising Podcasts to make radio shows. I'd listen like a fox. But woe betide any of you who makes a racket while I'm listening to my stories.

Me and the little bro just used to chuck a glow in the dark bouncy ball around in the hall with all the doors closed and the lights off. WOO WOO WOO ouch.

Each Sock Robot, one Sock Robot closer.

I miss radio talk too! I used to listen to this guy:

I have never heard of the Mighty Boosh. Is it outlawed in American Empire? Oh, we will probably get it in 5 years and think we came up with it.

My little bro and I played indoor cricket, WWF wrestling, full conatct football with either a mini football or ball of socks. I'm surprised I didn't make him a paraplegic by doing a piledriver on him. We broke a sentimental vase in a way that would seem funny and cliched, kinda like watching a dog eat yr homework.

That is classic. I think I would be much more susceptible to the orbital mind control lasers if I hadn't been raised on BBC comedy. I am trying to procure some Boosh now. I did see an interview of them trying to figure out a rubix cube.

I love BBC americans :)
It's like they've escaped the evil clutches and shall someday overthrow their leaders.
...Or will just sit on the couch and watch britcoms :)
Hope you enjoy the boosh, watch the first tv series first if you can... sure it's available for procuring somewhere.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean I'm not being stroboscopically photogrpahed from orbitting satellites that send me secret orders to carry out.

I may be paranoid (or it may be the coffee), but I may never box again for fear of the brutish men squirting out hot jets of man-foam.
Definitely not a Killeroo.

Ever see 'The Yough Ones?'

The best part was when the guy with the very vertically oval-shaped head of hair demonstrated his uncle dancing on legs that had become trombones--the result of someone hitting the uncle, i.e. so hard that his legs became trombones, which makes sense, really.

Man it took me a while to decipher that comment :)

Yea, welcome to my world;)

I actually completely missed what that trombone dance was about until I saw it a second time. My babblefish is out of practice.

Still waiting for the gnomes to deliver more episodes. But I have noted those three for special consideration. Boosh rocked! Especially where the name comes from. I totally want a BBC show now.

No, no, no and no on the other shows. I missed a few years of good media, and am now trying to catch up since I don't have to deal with commercials. So I will tell the gnomes they have new instructions!

Oh. My. God.
Now I have to find this Mythical Boosh.

Surely someone in Texas has an illicit connection to ROFL Non-Americano culture souvenirs...will keep y'all posted about procurement.

(Am sure this will put me on an FBI watch list of some kind.)

Did you get John Shuttleworth on your North American and Antipodean radio and television sets?

I figure blogging puts us on many watch lists. Oh well, the best place to hide is in plain sight.

Oh, merciful !@#$% -- no US Amazon Boosh DVD/video, and the Amazon UK Boosh DVDs are all Region 2 encoded. Can't play them in NA.

Back to the drawing board...

Ricki, thanks for introducing me to something ELSE I can yearn for hopelessly...

;-)

Wow, I'm so popular :) or i'm so populace... either way.
I've not heard of this John Shuttleworth character, however he sounds nice and maybe i'll have him round for tea one day. Most DVD players now play all regions, (well cheap ones do) they just don't advertise the fact. have you tried region 2 in your player? You can definitely get Boosh from amazon uk in that case :) So worth it!

Kewl, Rikki, thanks for the tip!

Will ask my fave Gadgety Guru to see if that Mad Experiment will work (he loves Brit films and I know he's got some he ordered from the UK.)

And now, for the Evil Laugh of Anticipatory Triumph Over DVD Encoding:

BWWWAHAHAHAHA!!!
(And yes, you are Populace.)
